Information Collection and Use

No Unapproved Visual or Audio Recording:

We want to assure you that our robots are designed with your privacy at their core. No images or videos will be collected, stored, or shared without your explicit approval. Any visual or audio data processing by the robot for its essential functions (e.g., navigation, object recognition for fall detection etc.) is designed to be transient and for real-time operation only, not for continuous recording or storage without consent.

Personally Identifiable Information (PII):

When information is collected that could identify you (Personally Identifiable Information, or PII), we are committed to minimizing its use. Where possible, all personally identifiable information will be removed before data is used for internal evaluation and research. This means we will strive to anonymize or de-identify data to the greatest extent possible while still allowing us to improve our robot's performance and the quality of care it provides.

Purpose of Data Use:

Any data collected will be used only for internal evaluation and research. This includes:

  • Improving the robot's performance and features.

  • Enhancing the user experience.

  • Developing new functionalities.

  • Conducting safety assessments.

The Data We Collect is as Follows:

  • Your name, address and mobile phone number.

  • Your emergency contact’s name and phone number.

  • Data about your interactions with the robot such as their duration and time of day.

  • Reminders that you set.

  • Information that you provide voluntarily such as names of friends and family members, their birthdays etc.

  • Conversations you have with the robot that are deemed important such as your hobbies, food preferences, exercise routine etc.

We employ reasonable safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our commitment to data security includes:

  • Access Restriction: Access to any collected information, especially PII, is strictly restricted to authorized personnel who require the information to perform their duties.

  • Legal Compliance: We will only disclose information to required legal entities when mandated by law or a court order, and we will do so in a manner consistent with applicable privacy regulations.

  • Secure Storage and Transmission: We utilize industry-standard security measures for the storage and transmission of data to prevent breaches and unauthorized access.

SMS Notifications and Consent

If you choose to provide your mobile phone number and opt in, we may send you SMS (text) messages related to your device’s status, alerts, and safety notifications. Message frequency depends on device activity and is typically event-driven (0–5 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. To resume notifications after opting out, reply “START.”

Providing a mobile number is optional, and consent to receive messages is not a condition of service. Your consent may be withdrawn at any time by emailing us at support@homagerobotics.com or using in-app settings.

Your Rights

We believe you should have control over your data. You have the right to:

  • Request a Summary of Data: You may request a summary of the data collected that pertains to you at any time. We will provide this summary in a clear and understandable format, respecting your privacy and the privacy of others. To do this, please email us at support@homagerobotics.com.

  • Withdraw Consent: Where consent is required for data collection, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Please note that this may prevent us from providing our services to you. To do this, please email us at support@homagerobotics.com.

  • Have your personal data deleted. To do this, please email us at support@homagerobotics.com and allow 3 business days for processing your request. Please note that we will retain the minimal billing information as required by our payments processor.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
